Abstract

As the contemporary workplace undergoes rapid transformations, the intricate relationship between leadership styles and employee motivation emerges as a pivotal factor for organizational triumph. This correlation gains heightened significance when examining Filipino millennial workers, a group characterized by unique cultural values and aspirations that profoundly influence their professional outlook. The distinctiveness of their perspectives and expectations necessitates a closer examination of how leadership practices intersect with their intrinsic motivations. The research identified the relationship between the level of manifestation of leadership styles and the level of employee motivation among Filipino millennial workers in private companies in Calamba City, Laguna and whether there were significant differences in the assessment of superiors and subordinates on the manifestation of leadership styles and on the level of employee motivation. A total of 472 surveys were collected at random using a researcher-made questionnaire and the model was analyzed and evaluated using the Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, and Pearson Product-moment Correlation. The findings revealed the existence of a strong positive relationship between the level of manifestation of leadership styles and the level of employee motivation. The findings also conveyed significant differences between the assessment of superiors and subordinates on the manifestation of leadership styles, and on the level of employee motivation. Furthermore, the study proposed a program to further boost employee motivation among Filipino millennial workers.
