STAKEHOLDERS’ PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES AMONG PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS AT CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT II, BATANGAS PROVINCE

This study determined the stakeholders’ participation in school activities in the Congressional II District, Batangas Province, with the ultimate goal of proposing collaborative activities to enhance stakeholder involvement. Specifically, the study examined the participation of internal stakeholders such as teachers, student leaders, and administrators, as well as external stakeholders including parents, barangay officers, and non-government organizations in public secondary schools. Furthermore, it assessed the extent of manifestations of stakeholders’ roles and functions in school activities relative to Brigada Eskwela, PTA meetings, and Disaster Risk Reduction Management, and identified the relationships and differences in participation between the two groups of respondents. This study employed descriptive and quantitative research methods, utilizing a survey questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument distributed in every school. Results from the findings revealed that internal stakeholders greatly manifested their roles and functions in school activities, while external stakeholders slightly manifested their participation. The proposed collaborative activities aim to increase stakeholder engagement, particularly among external stakeholders, for more effective school programs and improved participation in school-related activities.
